I visited AQWA (The Aquarium of Western Australia), located at Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth.
It was lovely and cool inside, with dim, bluish lighting that gave the place a relaxing atmosphere.
There were all sorts of fish I’d never seen in Japan, but the one that caught my attention most was the leafy seadragon.

What a strange-looking creature! It looked just like a piece of seaweed, drifting slowly through the water. I found its unusual appearance fascinating and spent quite a while watching it.
Another highlight was the underwater tunnel. Walking through it felt as though I was actually underwater, with sharks and rays swimming right above my head. It was pretty exciting seeing them so close!

The aquarium wasn’t particularly large, and it took me about an hour and a half to look around. I found it a relaxing and enjoyable place to visit.
Sorrento Beach is also nearby, so you could easily combine a visit to the aquarium with a bit of time at the beach.
