A Short Guide to Fremantle : 5 of Best Spots to Visit for Day Trip

AUSTRALIA
Fremantle

Fremantle is one of best places to visit during your trip to Perth. It is a small seaside town that is vibrant and good vibes that people seem full of life. Every spot I will show you is arranged in order of closeness to Fremantle station and all of them are within walking distance. You can visit the popular spots just within one day. This is one of recommended routes to enjoy Fremantle from my 9-month stay here.
It should be a condensed and fun trip!
Please consider my suggestion for your itinerary!

Fremantle Market is only open on weekends, from Friday to Sunday. There is a wide range of shops that sell tempting healthy products, souvenirs, sort of organic foods and something else. As soon as you walk in, you will find the excitement kicking in. You can enjoy the cheerful atmosphere created by the visitors and shop staff, who are full of life.

Fremantle Prison is the only world heritage site in Perth. There’s a tour that takes you inside where only the tour participants can enter. There’s those facilities displayed that those prisons actually used at that time. Free pass is good enough to find out how the prisoners spend their lives. I found it interesting to see those pictures the prisoners drew.

After the prison tour, pop in LITTLE CREATURES, located next to Bathers Beach, across from the Ferris Wheel. Every dish I had was delicious and paired perfectly with the beverages. It gets so busy at night that locals go there and enjoy drinks, chat and have a laugh. LITTLE CREATURES sells their own clothes, which is cute and lovely. I bought one of their white T-shirts for my friend. I love the design of the creature. It kind of remains me of the Petit Julien : Manneken-Pis

The interior of the walls

Don’t forget to check RUN AMUK when you go to Fremantle. They’ve got about 20 options on the menu. You can make your own DIY hotdog too! It is not just hotdogs, they also have great shakes! I am a huge fun of their thick and delicious ones. It is always busy with a bunch of locals keeping constantly going in and out. Their hospitality provided by the owners and staff provide are stunning!! The walls are so playful! It is definitely worth walking in and trying their hotdogs!! My favourite on the menu is NINJA and CHEEKY BOY !

The sunset at the beach

South Beach is one of the best spots for locals to relax. I love the scene of people and their dogs watching the sunset together. It looks such a peaceful and lovely moment in time. In summer, the beach is always busy with people swimming and sunbathing, relaxing on their picnic seats. There are many good restaurants and bars along the beach. It is an absolutely great spot to call it a day!

I chosen the places you should visit. The atmosphere Fremantle offers will excite you with its beautiful beaches and those who seem to enjoy their life.
Please use my recommendations as a guide for your travel to Fremantle!! 🙂
